2015 Library Signature Cabernet Sauvignon

The hallmark of Darioush Signature Cabernet Sauvignon is its seamlessness, the result of decades of meticulous vineyard management of our cooler climate, Southern Napa Valley sites. Our estate vineyards in the Mount Veeder and Napa Valley AVAs have hit their stride, producing fruit with splendid concentration, compelling freshness and graceful complexity. Striking a tightrope balance of youthful energy, structure and restraint; the final composition, our flagship wine, rewards with extraordinary depth and poise.

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes

After three consecutive, abundant vintages, the 2015 growing season reminded of the need for humility in nature’s teachings.

Climatic conditions at bloom resulted in a shy-bearing vintage overall, yet, as the season progressed, as we tended and coaxed the very best from our vineyard sites, it was evident that remarkable intensity and depth would distinguish this vintage from its predecessors. 2015 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon strikes a vivid and powerful stance with its notably dense, concentrated mouthfeel and flavor profile. Dark cherry and black fruit aromas hint at its underlying plushness while the palate broadens with savory elements – black olive, soy, spice and black tea are accentuated by bright acidity, well-integrated oak and fine, sweet tannins. The 2015 is a rich, exotic, complex and aromatic wine destined to reward the patient collector.

"Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a seriously plummy and spice box-inspired nose with underlying baked blackberries and kirsch notes plus hints of sandalwood, Bovril and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a riper, berry preserves expression of the valley, packed with exotic spices and floral undertones, finishing long and chewy."
