Cinnamon Apple Streusel Protein Muffins

Posted on Oct 19, 2026

From Sally Khaledi:

These muffins have become a favorite in my kitchen—they’re wholesome enough for breakfast, but the cinnamon streusel makes them feel like a little indulgence.

Warmly spiced and naturally sweetened, these Cinnamon Apple Streusel Protein Muffins combine tender pieces of Granny Smith apple with almond flour, plant-based protein, and a crisp cinnamon streusel topping. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, they offer a wholesome yet indulgent treat for a leisurely breakfast or afternoon gathering. Pair them with 2024 Darioush Signature Chardonnay, whose orchard fruit, bright acidity, toasted almond, and baking-spice notes beautifully complement the apple, cinnamon, and richness of the streusel.
