"At its core, Darioush celebrates Persian tradition, hospitality, and family. In fact, proprietor Darioush Khaledi’s fascination with wine started with his father and the cultural history of winemaking in Shiraz, Iran.

"Hospitality is our culture; the Persian culture is very famous for hospitality. So, that’s in our DNA," said Khaledi. "I always tell my people, we have only two rules for our guests, rule number 1: they’re always right. Rule number 2: if they are ever wrong, please re-read rule number one."

Darioush Khaledi was born and raised in Iran and trained as a civil engineer. He came to America in 1976. Today, his business is a family endeavor.

"I have a son and a daughter, and my daughter has recently joined our team," explained Khaledi. "My hope is that my children follow the legacy."

Khaledi ties family and Persian culture into key elements of Darioush Winery. For example, each block of his vineyard is named after a family member.

"The architecture is similar to Persepolis, the palace of Darius the king which was built near Shiraz, Iran 2,600 years ago," said Khaledi.

The sleek and luxurious environment welcomes all guests to experience a legacy rooted in viticulture, hospitality, cuisine, and art.

"I want people to come in and when they go back, I want them to be happier than when they came in," expressed Khaledi."
