Vintage Cowboy Cuffs
Originally developed to protect cowboys' wrists, forearms, and shirtsleeves from injury or damage caused by ropes, branding irons, brush, wire fencing, and other hazards, cowboy cuffs have evolved over time along with the cowboy hat and boots as a iconic symbols of Old Western Americana.
Vintage cuffs have become prized collectibles, as trends in design lean increasingly towards Old Western craft and culture. This pair was discovered at antiques market in New York City, and though it's story is untold, we think it makes a fine conversation piece. We'd display the pair as a tongue-in-cheek decorative object in a living room or library, delighting in the element of surprise and unexpected rustic texture.
