2008 Darioush Signature Pinot Noir * Russian River Valley The highly acclaimed ‘Gold Ridge’ soil series along Vine Hill Road in Russian River is home to our four-acre estate Pinot Noir vineyard. We find this locale yields wines with a keenly defined, multi-layered flavor profile reminiscent of Côte de Nuits. A large portion of the berries are whole cluster fermented, an old-world tradition, to reveal a finished wine with great character, complexity and poise.

Tasting Notes:

Exquisite fragrances of lavender, dried rose petals and raspberry mingle with cedar and spiced chai to introduce the 2008 Pinot Noir. This relatively warm, low-yielding vintage offers up succulent dark cherry, mountain blueberry and rhubarb, while flinty minerality lends a textural note. The finish is balanced by earthy hints of baking spice, tobacco and white truffle.
