Darioush Distinction
The highly acclaimed neighborhood on Vine Hill Road in Russian River is home to our four-acre estate Pinot Noir vineyard. We find this locale yields wines with a keenly defined, multi-layered flavor profile reminiscent of Cote de Nuits. A large portion of the berries are whole cluster fermented, an old-world tradition, to reveal a finished wine with great character, complexity and poise.
Tasting Notes
Introduced by its brilliant clarity, ruby-red color and delicate aromas of strawberries, cinnamon, rosebud and lavender, Darioush 2007 Pinot Noir is lithe, yet powerful on the palate. Possessing a remarkable combination of structure, acidity, fruit-intensity and persistence, the flavors of licorice, cola, clove and bright red cherry will evolve gracefully for a decade.
