The chalky soils and cool climate of our Russian River vineyard allows the Chardonnay clusters to ripen slowly and completely, revealing concentrated flavors of bright citrus and stone fruits. The finished wine offers great character and poise with an expressive balance of acidity and minerality.

Tasting Notes

Fragrances of lively lemon zest, nectarine, and Gravenstein apple open the 2006 Russian River Chardonnay. A vivid, austere mouthfeel reveals the delicate balance of earthy minerality, citrus fruit and toasted brioche. Sur-lies aging imparts this crisp, clean wine with an exquisite long finish, accented by notes of crème brulee, graham cracker and clove.
