First Offering Policies
Starting a New Reservation
Once you have submitted your application for the First Offering Reservation program, your account will be created within one to two weeks. If any required information is incomplete, missing or incorrect, you will be contacted for an update.
Once your First Offering account is active, you can expect a welcome letter from Darioush. After one to two weeks of your new enrollment, an inaugural package will be shipped to you including any current vintages of the wines in your selected reservations, provided they are still available. Going forward, new vintages within your reservation will be sent on an individual basis prior to the official release dates.
Changing your Reservation
You may change your reservation type or bottle quantity at any time prior to two weeks in advance of a wine release. To do so, please contact your First Offering Liaison by phone at 707/257-2345 ext. 128 or email at orders@darioush.com. Remember, some reservations may reach maximum capacity and close. If you choose to reduce your selected bottle quantity, there may not be an opportunity to increase it again in the future.
Should you change your reservation within two weeks of a First Offering wine release, you may incur charges for your wine reservation and shipment. Shipping fees for returned packages will be billed at the expense of the First Offering participant.
Placing your Reservation on Hold
Under certain circumstances, Darioush will allow you to place your First Offering Reservation on hold for up to six months with two weeks advance notice to a wine release. To do so, please contact your First Offering Liaison by phone at 707/257-2345 ext. 128 or email at orders@darioush.com.
Once you are ready to resume shipments, you will be billed and shipped for the wines in your reservation that have since been released and held aside for you. Reservations that are held for longer than six months will be terminated by Darioush.
Canceling your Reservation
You many cancel your reservation at any time with no penalties as long as two weeks advance notice is provided. Should you cancel your reservation within two weeks of a First Offering wine release, you may incur charges for your reservation. Shipping fees for returned packages will be billed at the expense of the canceled First Offering participant when less than two weeks notice was provided.
Terminated Reservations
Darioush may elect to terminate your First Offering Reservation based on the following criteria:
- Your payment was declined on more than one consecutive wine releases and several attempts to contact you have failed.
- More than one of your First Offering shipments within 12 months was returned to the winery on account of being ‘undeliverable’ or if the package was refused by the recipient.
- You have elected to place your reservation on hold for more than one 6-month period, or for longer than six months at one time.
- You requested to skip a particular vintage release of one or more of the wines in your reservation for two or more consecutive releases.
- We are unable to contact you by phone, email, and/or your address has changed.
- A credit card dispute has been filed against Darioush for wines that were billed as part of your First Offering Reservation.
You will receive a confirmation letter by mail should Darioush terminate your First Offering Reservation for any of the above reasons. You are welcome to re-apply to the First Offering program at anytime thereafter.
Billing Procedures & Invoices
As a First Offering participant, you will be automatically billed for wine releases that exist within your custom reservation using the authorized credit card on file. Payment is collected approximately 3-5 business days prior to the shipping date for any new release. Each wine reservation is billed seperately; therefore, you may notice more than one transaction on your credit card statement if you belong to multiple First Offering Reservations. Please call the winery if you have detailed questions about your billing statement.
For your privacy, invoices are not provided inside of packages, but can be made available via email or fax by your request when you contact your First Offering Liaison at 707/257-2345 ext. 128 or orders@darioush.com.
Shipping Policies & Returns
Adult signatures are required for all packages shipped by Darioush. We recommend shipping to a business address to guarantee prompt delivery. Undeliverable shipments can either be reshipped at the expense of the First Offering participant, or the wine can be restocked and refunded less applicable shipping and handling fees. Alcoholic Beverages may be sold and delivered only to persons who are at least 21 years of age. The person receiving your package will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old.
Participants may cancel or change their reservation at any time as long as they provide two weeks advance notice. Should one cancel or change their reservation within two weeks of a First Offering release, they may incur charges for their wine reservation. Shipping fees for returned packages will be billed at the expense of the canceled First Offering participant when less than two weeks notice is provided for cancellation.
